Generating one striking shot is increasingly easy. Building a coherent film, campaign, training sequence, or product story remains a craft problem.
Before generating footage, define the subject, environment, camera language, palette, motion rules, aspect ratios, and details that must stay invariant. Create reference frames for characters, products, or locations. A shared visual contract prevents every shot from becoming a new interpretation.
Break the story into shots with a purpose. Specify what changes inside each shot and what must carry into the next one. Generate handles for the edit: establishing frames, reaction space, transitions, and alternate timing—not only spectacular hero moments.
Every clip should enter a normal review pipeline. Check anatomy, geometry, brand details, product behavior, temporal continuity, and unsafe or misleading implications. Keep the prompt, references, model, date, and edit history attached to the asset.
Sound deserves equal attention. Dialogue timing, room tone, music rights, effects, and accessibility can determine whether synthetic footage feels finished or disposable.
Some projects can be fully illustrative. Others require clear disclosure, licensed source material, performer consent, or strict separation from documentary evidence. Make that decision before production, not after publication.
The useful role of generative video is to expand the creative search space and compress expensive iterations. Direction, selection, editing, and accountability still turn fragments into work worth watching.
